DID Survivors- About Us Who are we?
We are the everlasting gobstoppers. Well, thats our system name anyway, given to us by a very dear friend. We are multiple (as if you couldn't tell) and survivors of childhood physical, sexual and mental abuse, SRA and abuse from partners. We are also a wife, stepmother, student, and friend. We live in India and have also lived in America and Australia.

DID Helping Hands Why did we make this site?
Well, we have a deep desire to help people who have gone through, and are going through the things we have, and until we are healed enough to go into the mental health field, this is our way. Also, we are still doing our healing work and see this website as a way to express ourselves as we go, and to see our progress. Finally, we are committed to putting an end to all forms of abuse and exploitation and this site is one step in that direction. In the early days of our recovery, sites like these, run by survivors like us, helped us immeasureably. We want to pay that forward.

Silent Symphony DID How did you think of the name?
Silent Symphony means 2 things to us. The first, is that the workings of a multiple's system are like a symphony, every piece working together to make an incredible whole. No piece could function alone, but together we can do amazing things. The other thing it means is that as a result of our abuse, multiples often lose sight of the good things in life, their joy, their freedom, their self expression, are constricted by the hold their abusers and their memories have on their lives. They can no longer hear the music. It is our goal to help them hear it again.
