Heroes
|
All of us are here today because of people who have helped us along the way. They have made sacrifices and put up with many many things to help us. This page is meant to honor them and all the things they have done to help us. If you have heroes to add please email us at Silent Symphony You can include a name, a short message and an image. Please do not send last names or photos as we cannot publish them here without permission.

God
We get mad at him more times than we care to admit, and we have often blamed him for alot. But he gave us life and has helped us to survive. He has sent his angels to keep us safe and blessed us with an incredible new life. And nothing can express how grateful we are.

Andrew
Andrew is our husband, best friend, protector, and hero. He saved us from the abuse and has helped us, and continues to help us, through every step of our healing jouney. I truly do not believe we would be here today without him. We love him with all our heart.
|
Ben
Ben was our youth pastor for awhile. He was the first person we told offline. He got us into therapy and helped us through it. He has been an ever present source of strength and comfort.
|
Kathy
Kathy is our therapist. Her understanding and patience astound me. She is so good to us, and has helped us so much already. Her help is greatly appreciated.
|
Faith
Faith was our first therapist. She set our feet firmly on the path to healing and helped us build the foundations on which we build our life now. Her caring and commitment will never be forgotten.
|
All our Friends
All of our friends have been so supportive, I don't think we can even begin to describe it. Their love and loyalty leave us speechless whenever we think about it.
|
Cara
Cara was our second therapist. While our relationship was not as good as it could have been, she helped us through some tough times. Thats enough to make her a hero in our book.
|
Tabitha
Tabitha was our dear friend and partner, and we loved her very much. She passed away July 18, 2002 of AIDS, given to her by her father during the abuse when she was very young. We believe she is in heaven now looking over our babies for us until we can join them, a job we wouldn't have given to anyone else.
|
Robert
Robert was our father in law. He recently lost his battle with cancer. We felt it important to mention him here because of what he meant to us when he was alive. He taught us what a normal family and a normal life are all about, and he made us feel welcome and accepted when we came into his family, something no one else had ever done until then.
|
Mr. McDonald
Mr. Mcdonald was a school counselor who found out about our self injury and forced our parents to let us get into therapy.
|
All the Everlasting Gobstoppers
And, there couldn't be a heroes page without thanking everyone in our system. Each one of us has depended on the other for survival, as well as friendship.
